Bucca Hotel – Near Bundaberg, Queensland
Country pubs is one of my favourite things about traveling. You will never find one that is the same. They all have their own charm, quirkyness and character. The Bucca Pub, near Bundaberg in Queensland is no exception
From the outside you are met with an enormous mango tree. The biggest one I have ever seen. Inside has beautiful high ceilings, wooden floor and an inviting bar with beer on tap. Everything you want in a country pub.
The outdoor areas is the best feature of the Bucca Pub. Bali huts are scattered throughout the grounds providing quaint places to sit and have beers and meals around big wooden tables.
The day we went there, it was super hot so we had been having a dip in the creek at the bottom of the hill below the pub. After our swim, we came back up the hill to have some schooners. It was just awesome.
The publican was very welcoming too. He showed us some photos of when the creek was in flood, which were amazing.
